At Peerwith, we feel strongly about empowering our experts, which is why we created peerwith.expert, where experts can receive direct service requests. In a this series of posts, we will be discussing various ways to improve your peerwith.expert page. When you sign up as expert on peerwith.com, your expert page will be created based on your profile. The URL to this page is automatically created and will look like this: http://peerwith.expert/expertname.
Tip #1: optimise your Peerwith.Expert weblink.
In the “Profile” tab on peerwith.com, where you can create and edit your profile, scroll down to the section that is only there for experts. You will see a field like the one above. The “expert page URL”, or actually the expertname part, is pre-filled by the system based on your name. However, you can change it!
Note: when you change it, the system will check to see if you are not choosing an expertname that is already in use. Obviously, a Peerwith.Expert weblink must be unique, so we suggest to not change this to something too generic.
Why is this important? All peerwith.expert pages are indexed by search engines like Google. Unique and clear names will very likely get better indexing, which will result in higher ranking in searches, ensuring that your expert page will be more visible. So, pick an expertname that matches your name, company name or another unique and identifiable name and stand out!
