We are live with the proposal page in our Equity Crowdfunding Campaign. The page is always accessible via https://eureeca.com/Crowd-funding-pages/FrontEnd/Pitch/crowd-investment-pitch.aspx?PID=10703&lang=en
We are extemely proud that some of our most active experts pre-commited their investment already. Thank you for your trust! We also welcome other investors, including Peerwith clients and industry specialists who believe like us that Peerwith has the potential to be the global leading platform for researchers to connect with experts to improve the quality of their academic work.
This is the step-by-step guide to register, transfer and invest.
Step 1: register
We use the Eureeca platform for our Campaign. Eureeca is a multi-regulated platform – with licenses in the UK, Netherlands, Malaysia and Dubai. Although the platform is quite straightforward with regards to guiding investors on how to transfer and invest, if you require additional information on Eureeca, assistance with navigating the platform or completing a transfer/investment, contact Eureeca support at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Now go to www.eureeca.com and signup. You should see this form:
Make sure to pick “Investor” under User type. Note: Eureeca is an investment platform, regulated by financial authorities. So they have strict rules for Know-Your-Customer (KYC) processes, comparable to banks. You are required to go through a (short) checklist to confirm you are fit as an investor. They also need to check your identity.
They also require us to display a disclaimer, so here it is:
Capital at risk. This advert has been approved as a financial promotion by Eureeca Ltd (DIFC) which is authorised and regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority as a Representative Office (No. F003216) of Eureeca Ltd which is authorised and regulated by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (No.624555).
Important: the Eureeca platform does not allow for investors from countries such as the United States. If you run into identity issues like that, please contact Peerwith at email@example.com as we may be able to offer an alternative investment solution with the same terms, but without the escrow account.
Step 2: transfer
So you are on Eureeca, gone through the KYC process, ready to make an investment. From the Dashboard, click Money and you should see this:
Client funds for our investment are being held in segregated escrow accounts. So the next step is that you will transfer funds into that escrow account at Eureeca. Click “top up funds” to start the transfer.
This first page suggests that the only way to transfer funds is through a Creditcard. Not true, just proceed by clicking the “add your balance” button.
You should end up at a screen comparable with this. In the proposal selection, pick Peerwith. If it is not there yet, pick “Many”. Note: this is not an investment yet, the people from Eureeca just want to have an idea what you will do with the funds once it is there.
Enter the amount and pick preferably Euro. You can also transfer in other currencies like US dollar.
On the next page where you are supposed to enter your Creditcard details, scroll down and notice the Bank Transfer option. If you prefer bank transfer, use that!
Tip: 3% handling fee applies for Creditcard payments. Bank Transfer is free of charge. And for specific countries the platform supports local payment methods, like iDeal in the Netherlands.
Step 3: invest
Depending on the payment method used, your funds should end up in your Eureeca escrow account immediately or with a small delay. Top right when you login, should appear much like:
Important: you still did not invest. Your funds are now in your Eureeca escrow account. You are ready to invest, but you didn’t make the investment yet.
If you are ready for it, commit your investment through the Eureeca platform as soon as possible. Early adoption discount of up to 25% is available for a limited time when pre-committing, on a first come first served basis.
So how to invest? Lookup the proposal from Peerwith, it might appear in the Invest menu at Eureeca. Or you can always use https://eureeca.com/Crowd-funding-pages/FrontEnd/Pitch/crowd-investment-pitch.aspx?PID=10703&lang=en
Once you are on the proposal page, look on the right and hit that “pre-commit” or “invest” button. From there, things pretty much speak for itself.
Tip: we suggest you pick euro currency to invest. The system might default into US dollar, depending on your preferences. Additional deal terms are at 500 euro or 1000 euro investments, not US dollar.
