Social sharing – use it!
In previous posts in this blog, we talked about how to ensure that your peerwith.expert page is optimized for finding clients: profile image, optimise your weblink, pick your keywords and subject areas carefully and a good about me text.
At Peerwith, we feel strongly about empowering experts, which is why we created http://peerwith.expert/, where experts can receive direct service requests.
Did you know that now about 30% of the requests on Peerwith originate from the peerwith.expert pages?
Share your expert page
Promote your peerwith.expert page whenever and wherever you can. This will help to drive traffic to the Peerwith marketplace, more specifically, as direct requests for
you. A “direct request” means that the request is only visible for you and not
for other experts. You will receive an email notification, and the service
request will be visible on your Dashboard, but it will not come up in the open requests overview. The client expects your response, and your response only.
We’ve already explained how you can optimise your weblink in the previous blog post. A good web-link is easier to promote. Once you are happy with the web-link, start sharing it. Send it by email to friends and clients. Add the web-link to your signature of all outgoing emails. Add the web-link to other profile/social pages or your own website. Mention the web-link as much as possible.
If you visit your Expert page, you should see the share-feature on the right side of the screen:
These social sharing buttons allow you to share your peerwith.expert page (weblink) easily on your favorite social channels like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn. When you do this, make sure to tag @Peerwith. We are on Facebook (www.facebook.com/peerwith), Twitter (twitter.com/peerwith) and LinkedIn. We
will be happy to re-tweet, share back, tag you, etc. To discuss these options, you can contact us via your favorite social channel.
Noted the “+” button at the bottom of the social sharing buttons? There are many more social channels you can share your peerwith.expert page on. We are not active on all channels, but don’t let that keep you from using them.
In the next blog post, we will talk more about the more advanced share-include features to import your request service button or ultimately the peerwith.expert badge.
